I love essential oils, especially the ones listed on this page! I find lavender, chamomile, and ylang ylang are great for relaxing and help you to get a good nights sleep. I often will use all three combined and diffuse them at night. I also like the aroma and find it very calming.
That’s a great idea, you can definitely use all 3 since they all balance and are calming. I especially love dabbing lavender on my pillow before bed. 🙂
Love, Love, Love your site! So glad I found this site right now. I live with severe anxiety and I do not want to continue to take medication as it goes against everything I believe in. Bergamot is something new to me and I find it quite interesting, maybe I’ll try to find that somewhere. How do you feel about Valerian Root? Is that maybe more for sleep than anxiety? You know what is sad/comical you have to put a disclaimer on your site about no proof of what essential oils can do for your health etc, but the doctors that put me on these horrible medicines that are addictive and horrible for your body are “experts”. People used plants to cure everything for thousands of years and we can do it again. Acupressure is wonderful too! I’ll be back to your site! Beautiful!
Hi Keli, thanks for the kind comment! I totally agree with you, medication just numbs us and doesn’t go to the root cause. I know It’s too bad there isn’t enough support from our health system. I’ve tried Valerian Root but im so sensitive it makes me sleepy throughout the day too. I also find that what works for me now, may not down the road as my body adapts. It is a constant journey. 🙂
This is an awesome website, Dawna! It’s got all the bells and whistles, especially the quality content for someone or everyone for that matter needing all this material! I will bookmark it for reference!
Cheers!

Thanks Don! I appreciate the feedback. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I would like to try lavender oil to sleep. Does this really work? Sometimes I also have trouble concentrating especially if I’m nervous about something.
I’ve heard of Frankincense but wasn’t aware that it’s a possible cancer fighter. If it’s effective in drawing the toxins out of your body, I’d like to try that.
The others I have never heard of, but I’d like to know which of these you might recommend over the others?
Hi Rob! Thanks for the comment. Yes lavender oil works great for sleep and headaches, you can dab a bit on your pillow and you can massage some on your temples. It will help relax you. Frankincense is quite potent but very effective, I would reccomend to start with lavender oil first as it is more gentle to use. Let me know how you work out. Cheers!
